The mindful art of crochet

Myra Pido makes crocheted earrings, coin purses, handbags, and other novelty items at her stall in Rizal Park. A member of Gantsilyo Pilipino, Pido finds crocheting a meditative process that generates income. She is also one of the more than a dozen crafters who participated in making the 40-foot, mandala-inspired Christmas tree called "Gantsilyo Pilipinas" at the park.
