Filipino puncher Kenneth Llover needed less than two rounds to destroy Ayati Sailike of China in his second defense of the Orient-Pacific Boxing Federation bantamweight crown on Saturday in Tokoname, Japan.

The poor showing of Sailike caused more harm than good to Llover’s career as the fight ended with the Chinese taking two trips to the floor before the referee called a halt to the gross mismatch.

The victory raised Llover’s record to 17-0 with 12 knockouts, but it was such a one-sided match that it didn’t do anything to boost his stock.

A left to the head sent Sailike down, and although he managed to get up, it wasn’t long before Llover decked him once again.

Midway through the first round, Llover took note of Sailike’s passive stance and the General Trias, Cavite, native motioned to his rival to engage.
Instead, Sailike just held his hands up and looked as if his mission was just to stay upright.

In less than two rounds of action, Sailike threw no more than 20 punches, many of them harmless right jabs.

Llover is ranked by the world’s major sanctioning bodies in the 118-pound class.
