The National Police Commission (Napolcom) announced Monday it is intensifying its crackdown on fraudulent Facebook pages and accounts impersonating the agency to protect the public from online scams.
Napolcom chief Commissioner Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan said the commission has ordered all personnel nationwide to mass report fake accounts.
The agency has also established a centralized reporting mechanism to document and validate impersonating pages for faster removal.
