Prime Video has released the first-look images for Young Sherlock, the upcoming action-charged reimagining of Sherlock Holmes’ beginnings, with Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) stepping into the role of the famed detective.
Directed and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, the series dives into Holmes’ early life with the irreverent wit, swagger, and visual punch synonymous with Ritchie’s signature style. The series will debut exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories next year.
Young Sherlock revisits Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic character at a time when Holmes is still far from the composed figure of Baker Street. Instead, he’s a disgraced, impulsive young man who becomes entangled in a murder case that jeopardizes his freedom.
His first investigation unspools a far-reaching conspiracy that reshapes the course of his life. Set in 1870s Oxford and spanning adventures abroad, the series uncovers the unruly exploits and formative moments of a brilliant mind on the brink of legend.
The cast includes Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor), and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).
