Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will reintroduce widebody operations on its Manila–Puerto Princesa route with the Airbus A330-300 beginning 17 December.
PAL said Friday that the aircraft, which has 363 seats across Business, Comfort, and Economy classes, will operate three times weekly every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Flights from Manila are scheduled to depart at 5:30 a.m. and arrive in Puerto Princesa at 7:00 a.m., while return flights will leave Puerto Princesa at 8:10 a.m. and arrive in Manila at 10:00 a.m.
According to PAL, the shift to widebody equipment aims to improve operational efficiency and passenger handling on the route. The deployment of A330 aircraft, it added, will also “boost cargo capacity.”
Puerto Princesa serves as the main gateway to the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
