Hariphil Asia Resources Inc. (HARI), distributor of Chevrolet in the Philippines, showed its support for education and community work by backing the 3rd Battig Golf Cup “Swing for Music” held at Tagaytay Midlands Golf Club.
The annual charity tournament is organized by the Sister Baptista Battig Music Foundation of St. Scholastica’s College. Its main goal is to raise funds for scholarships and programs that help young musicians and students from nearby communities.
At present, the foundation is supporting 32 scholars, with proceeds from the event helping cover their first and second semester needs for the school year.
Sr. Agnella Capili, OSP, dean of the School of Music and president of the foundation, said the partnership with HARI shows how business and education can work together to uplift the youth and underserved families.
She called it a shared effort to promote learning, dignity, and long-term opportunities for children who might otherwise be left behind.
President and CEO Maria Fe Perez-Agudo, who is also an alumna and supporter of the Battig Foundation, considers the event a chance to give back to the community that helped shape her own path.
She said supporting these scholarships helps young musicians dream bigger, pursue their talent, and grow into responsible and culturally aware citizens.
