The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE), the local bourse operator, is welcoming two high-profile appointments to its board starting tomorrow.

In a Wednesday disclosure, the PSE confirmed that Cecile L. Ang, daughter of billionaire Ramon S. Ang and nominee of the San Miguel Corp. Retirement Plan, will fill the seat of outgoing Non-Broker Director Ferdinand K. Constantino.

Ang will also join the bourse’s Audit and Corporate Governance committees, bringing both family business experience and investor representation to the board.

Ang currently serves as vice president of New Naia Infrastructure Corp. and chairs the San Miguel Foundation, where she has led corporate social responsibility programs, including school expansions and the Better World learning initiatives.

Since 2004, she has also served as president of Diamond Hotel, steering the iconic property through more than two decades of growth and operations.

Jaime J. Bautista, former Transportation Secretary and Philippine Airlines executive, steps in as Independent Director, replacing Andrew Jerome T. Gan, who resigned earlier this month.

Bautista’s dual experience in public service and the corporate sector is expected to strengthen the board’s oversight capabilities.

He previously served as transportation secretary under the Marcos administration and has held board positions across mining, banking, shipping, and leisure development.

Bautista was recognized for his leadership as president and COO of Philippine Airlines, as well as his tenure heading Air Philippines, which is now PAL Express.

The PSE board oversees the governance and operations of the country’s premier bourse, safeguarding the interests of listed companies and investors alike.
