Third-seeded Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas (PCU-D) booked a return trip to the men’s semifinals after hammering a 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 21-25, 17-15 win over Centro Escolar University (CEU) in the 2025 PG Flex-UCAL Season 8 Volleyball Championships on Tuesday at the UB Millennium Gym in Batangas City.

The high-leaping duo of Kaiser Amparo and Jhet Alvior saved the day for the Dolphins, coming through with crucial hits to beat the Scorpions in their knockout quarterfinal match to advance to the semis for the third straight season.

That set them up a mouth-watering Final Four showdown with the second-seeded Immaculada Concepcion College Blue Hawks — the very same squad that dethroned them after prevailing in a tense-filled semifinal duel last season.

Semis is set on Friday at the Paco Arena.

In contrast, No. 4 Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas hardly encountered trouble in beating Manila Central University, 25-16, 25-20, 25-18, to set up a semis date with No. 1 seed University of Batangas.

Meantime, the LPU-B Lady Pirates and UB Lady Brahmans completed the women’s semis after downing their respective rivals.

Led by Jolina Panganiban, the LPU-B Lady Pirates outlasted the Philippine Women’s University Lady Patriots, 25-12, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, while the Lady Brahmas scored a 28-26, 25-20, 25-23 win over the CEU Lady Scorpions.

In the semis, the third -seeded Lady Pirates will tackle the No. 2 seed PCU Dolphins, while the fifth-seeded Lady Brahmans will have a tougher assignment in reigning titlist ICC Lady Blue Hawks.

Like the UB Brahmans, the Lady Blue Hawks are also undefeated going into the semis.
