The resumption of court operations was ordered by the Supreme Court after Iglesia ni Cristo concluded its supposed three-day protest against corruption Monday night.
Earlier, the high court announced work-from-home arrangements in Manila, Quezon City, and Makati City until Tuesday as the INC rally was initially scheduled from 16 to 18 November.
But on Tuesday, after the religious group announced that it would not proceed with its third-day rally as they had already sent their message, the Supreme Court lifted the suspension of court operations.
“With the announcement from Iglesia ni Cristo cancelling its protest action, Tuesday, 18 November 2025, work resumes at the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Sandiganbayan, Court of Tax Appeals, and trial courts in NCR (National Capital Region),” the SC said in an announcement Monday night on Facebook.
Edwil Zabala, INC spokesperson, said Iglesia leaders ended the program ahead of schedule as many participants were already tired.
The Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said the crowd peaked at more than 600,000 rallyists at around 7 p.m. on Monday.
