Boracay’s shores saw a renewed wave of environmental action as Miss Earth 2024 Jessica Lane led a large-scale coastal clean-up along Front Beach on 13 November 2025. The initiative, organized in partnership with DENR–CENRO Boracay, covered key stretches from Diniwid to D’Mall and from Angol back to D’Mall—areas that receive heavy foot traffic from both tourists and locals.

Joining Lane were Miss Earth-Air 2025 Sóldís Ívarsdóttir and Miss Earth Netherlands 2025 Sanne-Esmee Walstra, who worked side by side with close to 150 volunteers from various organizations. Participants included members of PNP Malay, the Philippine Coast Guard Boracay, LGU Monitoring, Youth Chapter Boracay, and several community partners committed to safeguarding the island’s natural resources.

By the end of the activity, the team had collected more than 100 bags of non-biodegradable waste. The volume of trash served as both a stark reminder of ongoing environmental challenges and a testament to what can be achieved when locals, visitors, and environmental advocates come together.

For the Miss Earth queens, the clean-up was more than a photo opportunity—it was a meaningful expression of the pageant’s enduring mission. Through direct action and community collaboration, they highlighted the urgent need to protect Boracay’s fragile coastal ecosystem and encouraged residents and tourists alike to take an active role in preserving one of the country’s most beloved destinations.
