The Department of Transportation (DoTr) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced Monday the reopening of most land and air transport hubs after super typhoon “Uwan” weakened and moved further into the West Philippine Sea.

The CAAP has lifted Notices to Airmen (NOTAM) for several key airports that had suspended operations due to the storm.

Airports cleared for operations include Bicol International, Masbate, Naga, Virac, Daet and Cauayan. Post-typhoon inspections at these facilities found only minor damages, such as leaks, broken glass panels and roof damage.

Baguio Airport has also reopened, though Visual Flight Rules remain suspended there due to poor visibility from heavy rains.
