A fire ripped through a residential area in Barangay NBBS Dagat-Dagatan, Navotas City, on Saturday night, destroying at least 15 houses and displacing around 30 families.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection-Navotas, the flames spread quickly as the affected houses were made of light materials such as wood and galvanized iron sheets.
The blaze reached first alarm status before it was declared under control at around 10:26 p.m.
No injuries or fatalities were reported. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
Meanwhile, the displaced residents are temporarily staying at the Tumana Multi-Purpose Building.
