Security preparations implemented for the Undas 2025 long weekend in Isabela province concluded with no major incidents recorded, police officials confirmed.
More than 1,000 personnel from the Isabela Police Provincial Office (IPPO), along with barangay peacekeepers, civic volunteers, and emergency responders, were deployed to cemeteries, terminals, and other public areas to manage crowds and traffic.
In an interview with DAILY TRIBUNE, Provincial Director Col. Lee Allen B. Bauding said the crowd turnout remained manageable and police visibility appears to have deterred untoward incidents.
“We did not record any serious security concerns during the observance of Undas,” Bauding said. “Our personnel were deployed to ensure orderly movement and safety in key areas. Community cooperation was also a factor.”
While the province experienced heavy foot traffic in some sites, authorities said public compliance and police presence helped sustain order.
Support personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Provincial Security Office, and local disaster offices also assisted in medical standby, emergency response, and crowd control.
Bauding said the police will maintain regular patrols and public-safety activities even after the holiday.
“Security operations continue. Our focus remains on maintaining peace and safety in the province beyond Undas,” he added.
