Makati Mayor Nancy Binay said her administration empathizes with the disaster victims and wants to help them rebuild their lives and communities.
From the amount, P13.5 million is allotted to localities in Cebu affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake on 30 September while P20.5 million is for 38 LGUs hit by tropical cyclones “Mirasol,” “Nando” and “Opong.”
A 12-man search and rescue team from the Makati Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office will also assist with relief and recovery operations in Cebu.
