The government is set to confiscate all aircraft owned by former congressman Zaldy Co, even those located outside the country, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) confirmed Thursday, 30 October 2025.
In an ambush interview at the Infrastructure Corporate Center in Taguig City, Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon assured the public that the government would recover Co’s air assets wherever they may be in the world.
“The important thing is that these aircraft will not be sold,” Dizon said, referring to Co’s two AgustaWestland helicopters and Gulfstream aircraft, which have not yet been frozen by the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) and had been moved to Malaysia and Singapore.
Dizon added that only three out of Co’s ten aircraft had applied for deregistration, but authorities successfully blocked the requests.
The confiscation is part of ongoing government efforts to recover assets linked to Co’s alleged illicit activities. Officials emphasized that, regardless of location, the aircraft will be reclaimed and prevented from being sold abroad.
