The Mabalacat City Police arrested two suspects for carnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and illegal possession of drugs after a hot pursuit operation on 26 October 2025.
According to the Mabalacat City Police Station (CPS), officers received a report of a carnapping incident, prompting the team—along with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and 2nd PMFC—to conduct a pursuit operation.
The operation led to the arrest of suspects known as alias Chris and alias John, both residents of Barangay Pampang, Angeles City. Police recovered from them a white Mitsubishi L300 reportedly stolen.
Authorities also seized a caliber 9mm Ruger pistol, live ammunition, and suspected shabu weighing around 55 grams, with an estimated street value of P374,000.
The arrested suspects will face charges for violating Republic Act (RA) 10883 or the New Anti-Carnapping Act, RA 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
