CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga — A number of police generals, both retired and active, launched on Saturday morning an event called “The Lakan Ride for a Cause,” initiated by Brig. Gen. Rogelio “Pojie” Peñones, Central Luzon police director.
Peñones said the Lakan Ride for a Cause gathered more than 100 motorcycle riders at Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, which served as the meeting point for the event.
Participants began the day with breakfast and a blessing of riders before the start of the ride.
The event officially kicked off around 8 a.m., led by retired PMGen. Ma. O. Aplasca, together with former and in-service PNP officials, reflecting unity and camaraderie among riders and law enforcement advocates.
“The activity highlighted solidarity, brotherhood, and shared advocacy for service and nation-building — a celebration of purpose, discipline, and compassion on the road,” Peñones said.
