JBL’s BandBox and BAR Series sure to rock this Christmas

JBL’s BandBox Trio can remove vocals or instruments so musicians can practice all they want to perfection.
The band The Dawn, the pop icons that Larry Secreto recalls as the ones “we worshipped” in the 80s and 90s, brought the house down with Salamat and Envelope Ideas during the launch of JBL’s newest line of audio gear at EDSA Shangri-La. The crowd’s energy matched the brand’s message: sound isn’t just to be heard, but to be felt.

The latest JBL lineup spans the full spectrum of audio experience — from home entertainment and outdoor adventures to studio creation and active lifestyles.
The collection includes the new BAR Series of soundbars, two portable speakers, two PartyBox models, five sport earphones, and the star of the show: the BandBox Trio, a portable music system designed for creators and live performers.
According to Secreto, Harman Philippines’ country head, this season marks the right time to introduce fresh technology, especially with the holidays approaching. He also revealed that the BandBox’s debut in the Philippines serves as its first global launch — making Filipino consumers the earliest to experience it.
The BandBox, available in two variants — the Solo (P16,499) and the Trio (P34,999) — is aimed at musicians who want portable studio-grade sound. It features advanced “Stem AI” technology, which allows users to isolate or remove vocals and instruments from any track for custom backing mixes.
The Solo version caters to individual performers with a six-hour battery life, while the Trio model offers multiple inputs, a built-in mixer, and up to ten hours of continuous play for small groups.
For home entertainment, the BAR Series delivers cinematic quality with true Dolby Atmos surround sound. Its top-tier model, the BAR 1300MK2, comes with detachable wireless surround speakers for flexible 3D sound placement.
JBL’s outdoor-ready gear also received upgrades. The rugged Boombox 4 promises deeper bass and improved durability, while the PartyBox On-The-Go 2 and PartyBox 720 bring karaoke-ready features and dynamic LED light shows that sync to the beat. The sleek JBL Grip, shaped like a tumbler, is the most portable of the lot — perfect for on-the-go listening.
For active users, the Endurance Zone and Endurance Pace earphones offer sweatproof, secure-fit designs, while the Soundgear Clips, Sense Pro, and Sense Lite provide open-ear comfort for those constantly in motion.
Shipment of the new models are expected in November.
