The government-initiated National Housing Expo 2025 was a huge success and a solid testament to the vibrancy and revitalization of the housing and real estate industry under the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling said on Saturday.

Aliling said the two-day expo that concluded on Friday gathered more than 50 of the country’s top private developers and attracted about 20,000 prospective homebuyers.

“The success of the expo is proof that the housing sector is vibrant and strong under the administration of President Marcos, and that many of our fellow Filipinos continue to dream of and strive for safe, affordable, and dignified homes,” Aliling said.

“That’s why the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, together with our attached agencies, is working twice as hard to help more Filipino families achieve their dream of having a home,” he added.

No less than President Marcos graced the opening ceremony on Thursday, renewing his commitment to provide a dignified living through decent and safer government housing.

The event drew thousands of homebuyers and featured the country’s leading private developers, signaling renewed confidence in the administration’s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.

Private developers erected mock model units of their projects under the Expanded 4PH, including condominium and subdivision-type housing, rental housing, and the enhanced community mortgage program, while others showcased the latest technology in housing construction and home essential trends.

Expanded 4PH a big hit

“The attendance of thousands of prospective homebuyers and private developers reflects the renewed interest in the Expanded 4PH, which now offers various modalities that our fellow Filipinos can choose from,” Aliling indicated.

Organized by the Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG Fund), the two-day expo showcased the administration’s collaboration with the private sector to expand access to affordable, decent homes nationwide.

More than 100,000 brand new housing units and 30,000 acquired assets from Pag-IBIG Fund were made available to potential buyers. Attendees also benefited from on-site consultations, housing loan assessments, and assistance from DHSUD and its key shelter agencies.

Among the expo’s highlights were the awarding of certificates of entitlement, titles, and notices of approval under various government land and housing programs.
