Toyota Motor Philippines is taking the all-new Ativ out of the showroom and into Bonifacio Global City this weekend. From 24 to 26 October, the brand is setting up at the High Street Amphitheater, where people can check out the car up close and take it for a spin. The lineup on site includes the much-talked-about hybrid, which Toyota says is now its most affordable HEV in the country.
Toyota wants people to sit in the car, try it on real roads, and ask questions. There will be product stations that go over the Ativ’s design, the in-car tech, and how the hybrid system works. Toyota is also adding light activities and small prizes to keep things lively, plus dealer staff on hand for quick consultations.
The company says its dealer network has already joined the push, so customers can drop by showrooms nationwide to see the car without having to wait for the BGC schedule. It is a straightforward move that makes first looks and test drives easier to plan.
Elijah Marcial, Toyota’s first vice president for Marketing, knows many first-time hybrid buyers have been waiting for this model. She says the BGC launch and the dealer rollouts give people a chance to see how an electrified car could fit into daily life.
Marcial frames the Ativ under Toyota’s Beyond Zero effort and talks about making hybrid ownership easy and worry-free while working toward a more sustainable future.
“We know that a lot of Filipinos, particularly those aspiring to have an HEV as their first vehicle, are eagerly awaiting the release of the Toyota ATIV,” Elijah Marcial, TMP first vice president for Marketing, said.
There is also a message about choice. Marcial describes the Ativ as a sensible pick for those who want style, comfort, and fuel savings in one package. She links it to what the company calls the Toyota Choice, which is the idea of finding a car that fits your budget and lifestyle, backed by the brand’s track record for quality and value. It is a familiar pitch, but now tied to a hybrid with a friendlier price tag.
If you want to see the Ativ in person, the BGC public launch runs from 24 to 26 October at the Amphitheater along High Street. You can also head to the nearest Toyota dealership to ask about availability and test drives, or read up on the model on Toyota’s website.
