The local government of Muntinlupa has proposed a P10.07 billion executive budget for 2026, maintaining its focus on inclusive development and significant investment in public health, education and local infrastructure.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon, along with the Local Finance Committee, formally presented the proposed budget to the City Council during a public hearing Wednesday.
Biazon disclosed that the budget underwent extensive consultations with city departments, private sector representatives, and civil society organizations, underscoring the government’s transparent and participatory budgeting process.
For 2026, the largest financial commitment in the proposed budget is reserved for the health sector, as the city aims to strengthen medical services and facilities.
The budget is strategically distributed across the city’s 7K agenda — health receives the largest share at 24 percent, followed closely by development at 23 percent and education at 16 percent.
