A man long wanted by authorities was arrested by Taguig police in an operation over the weekend. Police identified the suspect only as “Joshua,” 28, who is listed as the station’s third most wanted person.
The operation stemmed from a warrant of arrest issued by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 139 Judge Alexius Pardo Tang for 22 counts of qualified theft.
The court set bail at P930,000 for Joshua’s temporary release.
Meanwhile, in a separate operation, Taguig police also arrested a suspected drug peddler identified as “Glenn,” 26, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Western Bicutan.
Police said Glenn is considered a street-level individual or small-time dealer. An undercover operative posing as a buyer arrested the suspect while in the act of selling suspected “shabu.”
Authorities recovered about 39 grams of the illegal substance worth P112,000 and the marked buy-bust money.
The suspect is now detained and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
