The next generation of leaders is stepping forward, and daughters are taking center stage. Frankie Pangilinan, daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, was appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Youth of the Senate Spouses Foundation, Inc. (SSFI). She took her oath on 14 August 2025 before Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, alongside other newly elected SSFI leaders, at the Tolentino Room in Pasay City, marking the start of her role in championing youth initiatives across the country.

Frankie joins Ciara Sotto, daughter of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, in leading key committees within the foundation. Their appointments highlight how daughters of public figures are stepping up to actively shape charitable and community programs, turning influence into tangible service.

The foundation, which has been active since 1987, continues to expand its initiatives under Heart Evangelista-Escudero, who was re-elected as president, and other officers from diverse sectors. “With our collective action, we can look forward to a bigger giving circle and make our communities better, and a better country for our countrymen. I am very excited to be working beside all of you because, I know together, we can make a difference,” Evangelista-Escudero said.

Alongside Frankie and Ciara, the SSFI roster includes Mariel Padilla, Nancy Dela Rosa, and committee heads covering health, education, women and livelihood, social services, and local government programs. Together, they aim to ensure that the foundation’s work remains inclusive, impactful, and community-driven.
