A 44-year-old commuter was shoved onto the train tracks at a Midtown subway station on Saturday evening, the New York City Police Department reported.
According to the New York Post, the man sustained injuries to his face and leg but managed to pull himself to safety before a train arrived. Bystanders rushed to assist him until first responders reached the scene.
Police said the attack was unprovoked and that the victim did not know the suspect. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, while authorities continue to search for the assailant.
