The Taiwan Tourism Administration will join this year’s Travel Sale Expo, organized by Oneklik and Global Tourism Business Association (GTBA), which will take place on 26 to 28 September at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
The development is good news for Filipino travelers who are eyeing to visit Taiwan without breaking the bank.
GTBA founding and TSE chairperson Michelle Taylan stated that Taiwan remains an attractive destination for Filipinos, particularly with the visa-free entry program extended until 31 July 2026.
“The Philippines has a robust relationship with the Taiwan government, and we can see that in the extended visa-free entrance for Filipinos. It’s a short trip, very tourist-friendly, and you can take advantage of the dining and shopping experience,” Taylan said.
Pinoy tourists grow
Filipinos traveling to Taiwan saw a steady rise in the past years from 350,000 in 2023 to an estimated 470,000 last year — making the Philippines the fifth largest source market globally for Taiwan.
Taiwan Tourism Administration will join 200 other exhibitors from the airline, hotels, tours, and cruises sector in this year’s ONEKLIK-GTBA 3rd Travel Sale Expo, which has the theme: ‘Your Gateway To The World’. Visitors will have the chance to score dropdown deals and big discounts on all things travel, and have the opportunity to learn the latest about travel requirements, tourism trends, as well as new and emerging destinations.
