New Delhi, India — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday said the Philippines is set to bring its relationship with India to the next level as the country is entering into strategic partnerships.
"This relationship is going to receive a major boost, a major upgrade, as Prime Minister [Modi] and I inaugurate a Strategic Partnership between the Philippines and India," he said.
"This means that from now on, our cooperation will intensify further and become even more impactful in many many areas that we have not explored with India before," he added.
Among these fields include defense, trade and investment, health, tourism, and other areas.
Marcos emphasized the size of India and its endless potential to be partners with other nations, especially the Philippines.
Accompanying Marcos in this trip are Secretaries Tess Lazaro, Jonvic Remulla, Ted Herbosa, Gibo Teodoro, Hans Cacdac, Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., Renato Solidum Jr., Ralph Recto, Cristina Aldeguer-Roque, Henry Aguda, Dave Gomez, Undersecretary Claire Castro, and OWWA Administrator Patricia Yvonne Caunan.
