TAYTAY, Rizal — The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) continued its relief efforts by reaching out to flood-affected communities in Taytay, Rizal on 23 July 2025.

PCSO Director Janet De Leon Mercado led the distribution of 516 ChariTimba food packs across different evacuation centers in Barangay San Juan.

The initiative aimed to assist residents displaced by severe flooding brought on by Typhoon Crising and the intensified “habagat”. Each ChariTimba pack contained essential food items like canned goods, noodles, instant coffee, and rice, to help families cope with the immediate aftermath of the disaster.

This activity is part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, in accordance with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to deliver swift aid to communities impacted by natural calamities. It also marked the agency’s second consecutive day of relief operations in flood-stricken areas.
