The infrastructure arm of Aboitiz Group, Aboitiz InfraCapital, announced that its MEZ2 Estate has already delivered $9.24 million in exports as of December 2024, significantly contributing to Cebu’s export growth.

MEZ2 Estate, a 63-hectare Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)-registered zone in Mactan, Cebu, is designed to support businesses through reliable infrastructure, scalable facilities, and seamless trade connectivity.

Strategically located next to Mactan-Cebu International Airport and with easy access to Cebu International Port, MEZ2 Estate plays a vital role in Cebu’s export growth.

Developed by Aboitiz InfraCapital Economic Estates and operated in partnership with the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority, MEZ2 Estate is a valuable asset for export-oriented businesses that depend on both air and sea freight to reach international markets.

“With its strategic location beside one of the country’s major international gateways, MEZ2 Estate gives exporters and logistics players a decisive advantage. Time and reliability are critical in trade, and our estate’s proximity to both the airport and the Cebu seaport allows our locators to respond to international demand with greater speed and flexibility,” said Monica Lorenzana Trajano, Vice President for Commercial Strategy of Aboitiz InfraCapital.

MEZ2 Estate offers a variety of ready-built warehouse spaces, ranging from 3,500 to 40,000 square meters, and leasable industrial lots suitable for light manufacturing, export processing, and logistics operations.

The land is supported by dependable utilities, including power, water, and telecommunications, and features on-site PEZA and Bureau of Customs offices for faster clearances and efficient export processing.

To date, the estate is home to over 40 locators and more than 12,000 workers across high-value sectors such as electronics, garments, medical equipment, and home furnishings—industries that rely on consistent connectivity to global supply chains through Cebu’s air and sea transport links.

Beyond physical assets, MEZ2 Estate functions as a comprehensive industrial ecosystem, which includes the iMEZ Building—a PEZA-accredited office hub for BPO, administrative support, and shared services. It also features The Outlets at MEZ2 Estate, the first outlet retail destination in Visayas and Mindanao, offering global brands, dining options, and daily essentials. Additionally, the estate includes a transport terminal that improves accessibility and mobility for the workforce, backed by Aboitiz Group’s infrastructure capabilities in power, water, and telecommunications.

With its robust foundation and expanding tenant base, the continued growth and long-term commitment of key locators reflect MEZ2 Estate’s strength as a reliable base for exporters and manufacturers, built for resilience, long-term value, and regional competitiveness.
