Manila Police District (MPD) Station 13 operatives confiscated 60 liters of toluene, commonly known as solvent, and approximately 15 grams of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation early Saturday morning in Block 15 Babuyan, Baseco, Port Area.
P/Lt. Col. Rommel Anicete, Station Commander of MPD-PS 13, identified the arrested suspects as Joanna Ramos, Ryan Flores and Larry Arcinas.
Police said that the operation occurred at 2 a.m. Saturday at the aforementioned location. In addition to the 15.5 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P104,000.
Authorities also seized six plastic containers, each holding 10 liters of the solvent substance.
The three suspects will face charges at the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office for violations of Republic Act 9165, “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002,” and Presidential Decree 1619, “Penalizing the Use or Possession or The Unauthorized Sale to Minors of Volatile Substances for The Purpose of Inducing Intoxication or In Any Manner Changing, Distorting or Disturbing the Auditory, Visual or Mental Process.”
The confiscated 60 liters of solvent will also be part of the evidence.
