Six detainees escaped from a detention cell at the Parañaque City Police Station in San Dionisio on Sunday afternoon.
Duty officer Lt. Warren Vicente identified the escapees as Ian Ajero, who was held for drug and firearms violations. Also among those who fled were Jasper Bolosenio, detained for trespassing and theft, and Joven Garcia, who is facing charges of robbery.
Two other individuals from Barangay Sto. Niño, Rowel Lardo, held for robbery and John Cedric Mahinay, also facing robbery charges, were identified as escapees. The sixth escapee was Renzon Fernandez, who was detained for theft.
According to the police report, Duty Jailer PSSg Labios was processing new detainees when John Michael Bermundo, one of the prisoners, informed him that the ceiling of the detention cell had been forcibly dismantled.
Labios immediately conducted a headcount and discovered that six detainees were unaccounted for, promptly informing the duty desk officer of the incident.
Police at the station are conducting a manhunt operation to locate and rearrest the escaped individuals.
