ONIC PH beats down Area 77 to keep MSC championship hopes alive

M6 world champion and MPL PH Season 15 runner-up ONIC PH lived to fight another day following a decisive win over North America’s Area 77 in the Group Stage lower bracket quarterfinal of Group B at the 2025 Mid Season Cup this Saturday in Riyadh.

Composed of its world championship roster of K1ngkong, Kelra, Brusko, Super Frince, and Kirk, ONIC PH scored the opening salvo with its Harith, Kalea, Lancelot, Phoveus, and Kagura lineup, winning the first stanza in 14 minutes.

It was masterclass from ONIC PH in Game 2. In just 3 minutes, ONIC PH was able to slay Area 77 jungler Shiro four times. The game went downhill from there, as the Philippine squad capitalized on the early lead beating down their foes with a 23-4 kill score to cop the series.

ONIC PH will see action again tomorrow in the lower bracket semifinal against the loser between Team Spirit and Homebois.
