Marcos leads launch of PhilHealth YAKAP program

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. officially launched PhilHealth’s “Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) Para Malayo sa Sakit” on 25 July 2025, at Gateway Mall in Cubao, Quezon City. The program, an expansion of the 2021 Konsulta initiative, offers enhanced access to essential primary care services, including more medicines, lab tests, and cancer screening nationwide. The initiative aims to promote early detection and preventive care for Filipinos across all life stages. Joining the president were DOH Secretary Ted Herbosa, Special Assistant to the President Frederick Go, PhilHealth President Dr. Edwin M. Mercado, and other health and government officials.
