Former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley are taking the spirit of bayanihan beyond the screen—this time, into real-world kitchens serving communities hit hardest by recent calamities.

In a meaningful collaboration with the Angat Bayanihan Volunteer Network of the Angat Buhay Foundation, the two Kapuso stars rolled up their sleeves to assist in relief operations for families affected by Typhoon Crising and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

Mika and Will volunteered in two community soup kitchens—Trining’s Kitchen Stories in Marikina and Urban Chick Maginhawa in Quezon City—where they helped prepare and serve hot meals to displaced residents. Their active participation was documented in a heartwarming reel and series of photos shared by Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Angat Buhay.

“From the PBB kitchen to kitchens for a cause,” Sparkle posted. “Despite the heavy rains and in the spirit of bayanihan, Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley stepped up to serve—volunteering in two soup kitchens for families affected by Typhoon Crising and the Southwest Monsoon.”

Beyond preparing meals, the young stars also helped amplify online fundraising efforts to extend aid to more communities in need.

The Angat Buhay Foundation expressed its appreciation for their presence and compassion:

“Maraming salamat sa pakikipagbayanihan, Mika and Will!”

What was once just a shared experience inside the PBB house has now blossomed into real-world action—proof that influencers and celebrities can make a difference when they use their platforms for good.
