Lili Reinhart, Tom Bateman are co-stars in 'The Love Hypothesis'

Another popular romance novel is heading to the big screen.

Lili Reinhart will star opposite Tom Bateman in the film adaptation of The Love Hypothesis, based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Ali Hazelwood.

The story follows third-year biology Ph.D. candidate Dr. Olive Smith and young Stanford professor Dr. Adam Carlsen, whose impulsive kiss leads them to enter a fake relationship. As their pretend romance continues, the boundaries between what’s real and what’s not begin to blur.

The Love Hypothesis originally began as a Star Wars fan fiction on Archive of Our Own (AO3), inspired by the characters Rey and Kylo Ren.

The adaptation is being produced by Elizabeth Cantillon in partnership with MRC Film’s romance label, Bisous Pictures.
