BDO Foundation was recognized as one of the 2025 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders during the annual appreciation ceremony held at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) head office on 18 July 2025.
Receiving the awards on behalf of the foundation was BDO Foundation president Mario Deriquito, who expressed gratitude for the continued partnership with the central bank.
BDO Foundation was cited for its significant contributions to promoting financial education in the country.
In collaboration with the BSP, the foundation helped develop e-learning modules covering key topics such as financial planning, budgeting, saving, fraud and scam prevention, and digital financial literacy.
Financial literacy initiatives
It also worked closely with the BSP to launch targeted financial literacy initiatives for a wide range of beneficiaries, including students, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), farmers and fisherfolk.
“On behalf of BDO Foundation, let me thank the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas for our long-standing partnership. This recognition will further inspire us to keep finding creative ways to bring financial education closer to everyday life and to help build a financially literate citizenry. Thank you so much, BSP!,” Deriquito said in an acceptance video message.
The recognition ceremony was led by BSP Monetary Board member Romeo Bernardo and assistant governor Rosabel Guerrero.
Launched in 2004, the Outstanding BSP Stakeholders Appreciation Ceremony highlights the contributions of partners that support the BSP’s core mandates, including price stability, financial stability, and the development of a secure and efficient payments and settlements system.
