Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chairman Atty. Don Artes and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno lead the opening of a floodgate and installation of trash traps at the Manila Yacht Club portion of Manila Bay on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, as a solution to mitigate flooding along Roxas Boulevard and the Malate area. This comes after the MMDA cited the Dolomite Beach project as a major cause of chronic flooding near Manila Bay, especially along Taft Avenue.
