Farm Fresh recovered from a sluggish start and a scary fourth set to take down Choco Mucho, 23-25, 25-19, 25-23, 26-24, for a first taste of victory in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour Saturday at the packed Capital Arena in Ilagan, Isabela.

Trisha Tubu rose to the occasion, leading the Foxies’ assault and taking care of business with the game-winning kill block sa Farm Fresh bounced back from an opening game loss for a 1-1 win-loss record in Pool A.

The opposite spiker dropped 22 points built on 16 attacks, three aces and three kill blocks, including the denial on Mean Mendrez’s spike to end the two-hour, 18-minute encounter.

“This is very important for us since we have a new system. Slowly we’re applying it so we’re really thankful for this win,” Tubu said after Farm Fresh handed Italian coach Alessandro Lodi his first PVL win.

Jolina dela Cruz had 16 points while Caitlin Viray added 10 markers for the Foxies, who had some anxious moments in the fourth set after allowing the Flying Titans to erase a four-point deficit with a 5-0 run for a 23-22 advantage.

Dela Cruz and Viray pushed Farm Fresh back in front and to match point before Choco Mucho rookie Kylene Villegas tied it at 24. Viray gave the Foxies another match point advantage before Tubu’s heroics.

The Flying Titans slipped to 1-2 card despite the 13 points of Isa Molde and 10 by Des Cheng.
