4 Pinoys hurt, missing after Red Sea attack

The Philippine government is verifying the status of four Filipino crew members following an attack on the Greek-flagged bulk carrier MV Eternity C off the coast of Hodeidah, Yemen, the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) confirmed Tuesday.

Two Filipino seamen were reported missing and while two were injured.

In a press briefing, DMW Secretary Hans Cacdac said the MV Eternity C was attacked with sea drones and fast-moving skiffs carrying assailants armed with rocket-propelled grenades. The ship had 22 crew members — 21 Filipinos and one Indian national.

The vessel is managed by Cosmoship Management, with its Filipino crew deployed through the local agency Status Maritime Corp. No group has claimed responsibility for the assault so far.
