Anne Curtis admitted being initially hesitant in accepting the lead role in the remake of the hit Koreanovela It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and it was for a good reason.

“To be honest, it took a while for me to say yes to this project because as much as I was so excited to do it, I was so nervous. Ang tagal ko nang hindi umarte. (It has been very long that I didn’t act),” she said during the media huddle for the series.

There was a lot of jitters but Curtis was comforted by the fact that she’s working with amazing actors and was guided by their director Mae Cruz-Alviar.

Still and all, Curtis admitted she experienced a rollercoaster of emotions while taping the series.

“Nandoon 'yung kaba, ‘yung (There was nervousness, and) excitement. It was really a whirlwind of emotions but when it ended, I was so proud to see everything that we worked hard for,” she said.

Curtis plays Mia Hernandez in the series, a popular children’s book author afflicted with a personality behavior disorder.

She is joined by Joshua Garcia, an orphaned caregiver working in a mental institution, and Carlo Aquino, Garcia’s brother who is suffering from autism spectrum disorder.

Bea Alonzo and billionaire BF make first public appearance

Bea Alonzo and billionaire businessman Vincent Co drew public attention when they appeared together at the Puregold OPM Con 2025 held at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan on 5 July.

This is the rumored couple’s first public appearance  although they were seen a couple of times in corporate events and out-of-the-country trips.

A report said that fans were delighted to see the couple that they trooped to their designated Premiere Patron seat. Uneasy over the public attention, Alonzo and Co then chose to watch the event in a suite at the arena to avoid the gawking public.

Alonzo was very accommodating to her fans as she accommodated requests for selfies.

Romance rumor between the two started when netizens felt Co was with Alonzo when he shared photos of his vacation in Andalucía, Spain on his private Instagram account.

What followed were a series of snaps when they went to Thailand for Alonzo’s commercial shoot, when they chill out with their barkadas in a chichi resto and when they attended a corporate event where Co’s mom and sister were also present.

    Elijah Woods returns to Manila

Following the overwhelming success of his debut Manila show in 2024, Canadian singer-songwriter Elijah Woods is set to make an exciting return to the Philippines with not just one, but two concert  dates in 2025.

On 25 July, he will serenade fans at Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier, Manila, before flying to the Visayas to bring his hit songs to Cebu on 26 July at the IC3 Convention Center. Produced by CNCA, these back-to-back shows promise unforgettable nights of music, emotion, and connection.

Elijah Woods, known for his emotionally resonant lyrics and melodic pop sound, has quickly become a beloved figure in the hearts of Filipino fans. With viral tracks like “24/7, 365” and “Where We’re Going,” Woods has built a dedicated following in the Philippines, where his songs continue to dominate local streaming charts and resonate deeply with listeners.

What makes this upcoming tour especially exciting is that it’s not just for fans who already know every lyric. Whether you’re a longtime listener or someone just discovering Elijah Woods for the first time, these shows  promises to be more than just a concert. Woods is known for his authentic storytelling and magnetic stage presence.

The Manila show on 25 July will start at 8 p.m. while the Cebu show will be held on 26 July at 7 p.m. To make these nights even more memorable, special ticket tiers are available for fans who want a deeper connection with Elijah Woods himself. SVIP ticket holders in both cities will enjoy an exclusive photo opportunity with the artist, as well as early access to his soundcheck. VIP ticket holders will also be given access to the soundcheck, making them part of the behind-the-scenes magic.
