Movies have long inspired fashion trends — from the preppy looks of Alicia Silverstone and crew in Clueless, to the futuristic androgyny of The Fifth Element, to the haute takes from The Devil Wears Prada.
And while K-dramas have also done the same for the style horde, the latest hit series Squid Game has apparently done the same.
Our radar caught Puma’s fresh new drops inspired by the gripping final season of Netflix’s hit series. And starting 10 July, its Squid Game collection becomes available for aficionados looking to cop the looks with footwear and apparel in moody, dynamic designs, glow-in-the-dark finishes and hidden details that draw from the final Squid Game.
Puma’s sport style classic Easy Rider gets a rugged refresh straight out of the Squid Game playbook. The sneakers are topped off with a Chul-Su charm, in honor of the menacing new animatronic introduced in the show’s third season.
Classic meets cryptic in the reimagined terrace culture staple. Dressed in an all-black suede and leather colorway, the Puma Palermo keeps its timeless appeal while nodding to the hit global series. Its lining is made to look like they’re hand-drawn on with multi-colored chalk, calling back to the show’s arenas. The sneaker comes with a special key charm inspired by the Hide and Seek game from the show. The laces also feature charms of the show’s infamous shapes: circle, square and triangle.
