Turning bale strips into baskets
Roy Roja, 56, weaves "bayong" bags from recycled plastic baler straps along Recto Avenue in Manila on 26 June 2025. A native of Bulacan, Roja sells each handmade bayong for ₱250 and can complete up to three bags a day.
