In celebration of Pride Month, the Villar Foundation recognized six outstanding members of the LGBTQIA+ community from Las Piñas who have excelled in their respective fields and contributed significantly to the broader society.

The awarding ceremony took place during the vibrant Pride festivities at The Tent on Saturday, 21 June. It was attended by community leaders, human rights advocates, and residents, all gathered in a shared display of solidarity and support for gender diversity and equality.

Led by Senator Cynthia Villar, alongside Senator Mark Villar and Senator-elect Camille Villar, the foundation’s initiative highlighted the importance of uplifting LGBTQIA+ voices and honoring those who promote empowerment, acceptance, and inclusion.

“These individuals exemplify courage, excellence, and the power of representation. They were chosen because of their significant contributions in their fields and in the community,” Senator Villar said. “They demonstrate a high degree of credibility, integrity, and excellence.”

Each awardee received a Villar Foundation PRIDE Trophy and a ₱20,000 cash prize as a tribute to their achievements and their role in shaping a more inclusive community.

“Their stories inspire us to continue the fight for justice and equal rights,” added Senator Villar, reaffirming the foundation’s commitment to supporting often underrepresented sectors of society.

The celebration also featured a colorful Pride parade and the Binibining Bahaghari 2025 pageant, further underscoring the Villar family’s commitment to LGBTQIA+ inclusion and advocacy.

Through its continued efforts, the Villar Foundation strengthens a wider movement within Las Piñas to uphold respect, dignity, and equal opportunity for all — regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
