The Rizal Provincial Police Office launched on Tuesday the Community Assistance, Safety, and Support Network (CASSN), a new initiative aimed at strengthening crime prevention and enhancing community engagement to improve public safety.
The launch, held at the Taytay Sports Complex, was attended by key Philippine National Police officials, including Rizal Provincial Director P/Col. Felipe Maraggun, PNP-Region 4A Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration P/Col. Melvin Napiloy, and P/Maj. Gen. Roderick Augustus Alba, Director for the Directorate for Police Community Relations.
In his keynote address, Alba stressed the critical role of community cooperation in creating a secure and peaceful environment.
“Our goal is to build a safe, inclusive, and accountable society where every sector has a voice and an active role in peacekeeping,” said Alba. “This is not just a program—it’s a commitment to inclusive and just law enforcement.”
CASSN is a flagship program of the Philippine National Police that forms part of its strategic response to crimes affecting Filipino-Chinese and other foreign communities, including kidnapping, extortion, and culturally motivated violence. The initiative emphasizes proactive policing, rapid response, and stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
