The Eastern Police District (EPD) announced Friday it is ready to secure the opening of classes on 16 June, deploying more than 535 personnel across its jurisdiction.
The EPD has mobilized forces in Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan to ensure public safety, maintain order, and assist students, parents and teachers during the school opening.
This initiative supports the Department of Education’s annual school opening.
The deployment focuses on securing school zones, managing traffic flow and providing police assistance at school premises.
EPD’s efforts also include coordination with local government units, barangay officials and school administrators to ensure comprehensive security. Assistance desks will be activated in key school areas to provide immediate public support.
The EPD urged the community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities by calling 911, aligning with Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Nicolas Torre III’s directive for swift, five-minute police response.
