First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos recently checked on the ongoing improvements and repairs at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) which will serve as one of the venues for the upcoming ASEAN Summit.

“Dropped by the PICC today to check on the ongoing renovations in preparation for the ASEAN 2026,” she wrote in a social media post.
“This iconic space has been a witness to many pivotal chapters in our history — and now, it’s being primed to host the world once more,” she said.
Followers of the First Lady quickly went to the comment section to express their appreciation for her efforts at upgrading the iconic venue.
“Your actions are a source of pride. The ASEAN Summit in the Philippines will be smooth and successful,” one user commented.
“PICC is beautiful again, just in time for big events,” another said.
The First Lady expressed her gratitude for the efficiency of the PICC team in preparing the venue for the ASEAN Summit next year which the Philippines will chair.
“My heartfelt thanks to the efficient PICC team and our ASEAN National Organizing Committee for their dedication in making this landmark a venue that reflects not just our hospitality, but our strength, our progress, and our vision for the region,” she said.
“Here’s to creating a space that honors our past and will inspire generations to come,” she added.
