A livestock auction in Arkansas, USA went wild on 3 June.

A cow walked away as it was being bid on at a small indoor grandstand in Decatur. It tried to exit by going up the bleachers, prompting the people to empty their seats, Fox Weather reported.

A video of the incident shot by an attendee showed the distressed animal smashing the ceiling as it climbed to the top level.

Farmers were able to secure the cow with no one hurt, according to Fox Weather.

In Rutherford County, Tennessee, a wild pet escaped from its owner by jumping a fence on 30 May.

The escape was caught on a home security camera while other outdoor cameras recorded the animal running on a highway, in suburban neighborhoods, across rural backyards and a stream, KATV reports.

The videos were shared on social media and netizens tagged the runaway “Ed.” Several videos of Ed sightings were posted online, including funny memes of him dining at a restaurant and panhandling on the side of the road, CBS News reports.

Meanwhile, his owner engaged the services of a private helicopter crew to help find Ed, as police and volunteers searched on the ground.

Ed was finally spotted on Sunday in a pasture near a subdivision in the Christiana community in central Tennessee, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office told CBS News.

The chopper crew caught Ed with a net, placed him in a large sack, and safely airlifted the runaway zebra to his family, according to WZTV.
