Infrastructure firm Atlantic, Gulf & Pacific Company of Manila Inc. (AG&P) has pledged to support the country’s shift to a low-carbon, energy-secure future by advancing offshore wind development.
In a letter of commitment dated 23 May, AG&P seeks critical support services, including port infrastructure, logistics, fabrication, and workforce development, to enable the scaling up of offshore wind deployment in the country.
Additionally, AG&P presented its end-to-end services for offshore wind, including port infrastructure for pre-assembly and staging of components, fabrication of foundations and floating platforms, and allocation of specialized facilities for large-scale equipment and vessels.
The company also showcased its operations and maintenance (O&M) capabilities, as well as its workforce development programs, to train local labor for the emerging industry.
“We commend AG&P for its proactive engagement and strong commitment to supporting offshore wind development in the country,” Energy Undersecretary Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo said.
