The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has launched SEC AInnovation, an AI-powered chatbot designed to streamline access to information on its rules and regulations.
The tool uses AI to synthesize legal sources and deliver accurate, simplified responses in real-time, reducing the need for manual research and visits to SEC offices.
Breaking barriers
“This initiative is all about breaking barriers and making our services faster, smarter and more accessible to everyone, not just in the Philippines but all over the world,” SEC Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino said.
“This system is built to communicate the way you do, breaking language barriers and making sure that everyone feels heard and understood,” he added.
SEC AInnovation draws from key laws such as the Revised Corporation Code, the Securities Regulation Code, and related implementing rules, guidelines, circulars, advisories and online services.
The chatbot supports English, Filipino, Bisaya and other local languages through a natural language processing engine.
It also features voice input and clickable topic links to improve user experience.
