A suspected drug peddler listed on the street-level individual watchlist was arrested in Barangay Malanday, Marikina City, on Tuesday evening following a buy-bust operation that led to the seizure of high-grade marijuana and marijuana oil with a combined estimated street value of P450,000.

The 30-year-old suspect, identified only by the alias “Ace,” was apprehended by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of the Marikina City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

The arrest followed a successful drug transaction with a police poseur-buyer, prompting authorities to move in and seize seven sachets of suspected kush marijuana, 12 vacuum-sealed packs of suspected marijuana oil, 10 disposable cartridges containing suspected marijuana oil, 10 medium-sized vacuum-sealed packs of suspected kush, one white box, and P1,000 in marked buy-bust money.

Initial valuation placed the confiscated marijuana at approximately 300 grams worth P450,000, while the 22 milliliters of marijuana oil were valued at P1,320.

The suspect is currently detained at the Marikina City Police Station custodial facility pending the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
