Several of the country’s leading medical organizations have urged President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to keep Health Secretary Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa in his post, voicing strong support for his leadership amid ongoing Cabinet changes.
In a joint statement, the Philippine Medical Association, Philippine Hospital Association, Private Hospitals Association of the Philippines Inc. and the Philippine College of Hospital Administrators praised Herbosa’s performance since taking over the Department of Health.
The statement, signed by the presidents of the four groups, cited his election as president of the 7th World Health Assembly in Geneva and his role in developing the WHA’s Pandemic Agreement.
